Movement detector (PIR)
Detects how if someone has entered/exited a room. It is used to monitor the level of activity. These are usually mounted high on walls and sends out a small infra red beam. Some products can detect if a person has been unusually inactive for a set period of time and send an alert sent to a monitoring centre
Wall mounted at a high level in the hallway in a position to monitor movement between as many rooms as possible.

Provides a monitoring and emergency call system for the care of residents suffering from confusion as a result of Alzheimer's or other dementia disorders. Monitors movement, falls and incontinence.
The PIR can look for movement at pre-set intervals e.g. every 4 hours during the day. If the person has not moved for this time, due to a fall or feeling unwell, for example, the carephone would send an alarm to the carer/monitoring centre.

The inactivity alert can look for movement with in a defined time. If the person has not moved for this time, due to a fall or feeling unwell, for example, the Intellilink carephone would send an alarm to the carer/monitoring centre.
