Home Safety
The products described in this section are used to alert someone automatically if there is a safety problem in a person's home. This may include a fire, flood or the presence of dangerous gases.
Dangerous gas sensor
These products detect the prescence of dangerous gases, such as Carbon Monoxide and natural gas in a room and sends an alert. Dangerous gas detectors are usally place in the kithchen or in rooms where appliances, such as heaters, use gas.
Fire Safety
Products which automatically detect for the prescence of fire in the home and generates alerts
Flood sensor
Detects the prescence of water or moisture on the floor and sends an alert. These are usually placed in the floor near to places where a flood may be possible, such as in a bathroom or next to the kitchen sink
Intruder alarm
Raises an alert if a an intruder enters a person's home or dwelling. Products use PIR movement detectors to detects movement in rooms and door contacts detect opening of windows and doors. Products use different ways to turn on/off the alarm, such as keypads, keys, buttons.

Smoke sensor
Placed on ceilings in the middle of rooms. Detects the prescence of smoke in the room and sends an alert.
Temperature sensor
Detects extreme temperature levels in a room. An alert is generated if the room temperature becomes either too low, too high or if the change in temperature is too quick. These are placed either of the ceiling or wall.
