Products for care providers

The products described in this section are used by people who provide care to support the person they look after. They include products to alert them if help is required.

Carer alert unit

Alerts care providers to when help is required. Some products provide details of specific alerts (e.g cause of alert and their location). Some products also allow care providers to communicate with the resident or patient.

Health monitoring software

Used to collect and analyse health information, collected by devices in people's home. Some products can generate alerts if specific health information falls outside pre-defined thresholds

Lone worker alarm

Used by people working on their own to call for help in an emergency.

Pager systems

Used to notify carers or carer providers of request for help. Some pagers provides details of the source of the alert

Staff DECT phone

Allows care providers to be notified when help is required. The phones provide details of alert sent to them (causes of alert and location etc). Provide a moble form of communication with the person they care for.

Telecare Monitoring System

Used by carer providers or monitoring centres to collect and manage alerts and information from telecare systems.
