Innovation Technology Centre
The Innovation Technology Centre (itc) is a Yorkshire Forward owned landmark building on the world-class Advanced Manufacturing Park (AMP), Rotherham.
Managed by Oxford Innovation, the environmentally efficient incubator has 27,000sq ft of lettable office and workshop space for hi-tech manufacturing and materials research organisations. The centre has been designed to accommodate and support a range of cluster activities, fledgling engineering and technology companies, University spin-offs and subsidiaries of established companies. Alongside the office and workshop space there is a comprehensive conference suite with a variety of rooms ranging from a 6-seat meeting room through to a 150-seat conference room which are all available for hire.
The itc has been built to accommodate some of the country's most innovative and forward-thinking entrepreneurs and companies. Situated in the heart of Yorkshire's Advanced Engineering and Materials cluster, the itc will provide early stage premises and support services for new and growing entrepreneurial businesses and university spin-offs. Its aim is to maximise the formation and development of businesses with the potential for growth associated with Advanced Engineering, Materials and Manufacturing. Companies in the building will have access to a range of support to enable them to grow with the expectation of them then graduating into their own premises on the Advanced Manufacturing Park.
The itc is for new and growing entrepreneurial businesses, subsidiaries of established companies and university spin-offs. Technologies which are covered in the eligibility criteria for locating to the centre focus on materials and structures, covering metallic and composite materials; typically used in precision industries including automotive, aerospace, sport, environmental and energy, oil and gas, defence and construction.
The itc has a policy of selection on entry to ensure business viability and growth potential and there will be access to information about business and technical support, with specific relevant services for clients to help them grow.
