Advanced Manufacturing Park (AMP)
The Advanced Manufacturing Park (AMP) is a world-class manufacturing technology park providing advanced manufacturing technology solutions to ensure repetitive advantage for industry. The AMP is located on the Rotherham - Sheffield border in the South Yorkshire region of the United Kingdom; it's central location providing benefits to organisations situated here.
Technologies on the AMP centre on materials and structures, covering metallic and composite materials; typically used in precision industries including; aerospace, automotive, medical devices, sport, environmental and energy, oil and gas, defence and construction.
Technology developed on the AMP is already being utilised in leading edge projects, such as within Formula One and the next generation of military and commercial aircraft, including the Boeing 787. The AMP is home to world-class research organisations, such as; AMRC, a Boeing / University of Sheffield partnership; Castings Technology International (Cti) and TWI.
