Knowledge Transfer
Knowledge transfer: What's it all about?
Knowledge transfer, just like networking, partner-shipping, collaboration and
dating is all about starting a dialogue of communication between you and
another human being. The more effective the communication, the more effective relationship - it's as simple as that!
Knowledge transfer has risen up the national agenda in recent years. Whilst the
UK has a strong science base, it performs less well on innovation and if as a
nation we are to compete in a global market place, we need to increase our
knowledge transfer and collaboration to get our research into practice.
Launched on the 17th April 2007 the programme, alongside its ten collaborative
partners aims to promote innovative and multi-disciplinary networks and
collaborative partnerships between industry, university and the NHS, to raise
the level of awareness of assistive technology and telecare across the region.
Over the next sixteen months the ACT delivery team are here to help you're
organisation to forge mutually beneficial and effective business relationships
that encourage the exchange practical business solutions, experience and
expertise between assistive technology and telecare manufacturers, suppliers,
and users. Whilst investigating the most effective application of assistive
technology and telecare that ultimately raises the quality of life for South
Yorkshire's ageing population.
To help your organisation to get the most out of its future knowledge transfer
activities we've have an ACTivities Programme Events calendar and have dedicated a portion of our website 'Organisations in on the ACT' to promote your organisations goods and services.
