Tony is Professor of Social Gerontology.  He has conducted many studies of older people's housing choices and care, was formerly President of the British Society of Gerontology and currently is the Editor of 'Ageing & Society'.




Picture of Mark HawleyProf. Mark Hawley: Co-Director
Professor Mark Hawley is Consultant Clinical Scientist and Director of Research & Development at Barnsley Hospital, and Visiting Professor at the University of Sheffield. Over the last 20 years, he has worked as a clinician and researcher, developing and evaluating assistive technology and telecare products and services for disabled and older people.

Mike is Professor of Gerontological Nursing. He has worked with older people, their family and professional carers in a variety of clinical, educational and research roles for over 25 years.



 

Picture of Ben PalmerBen Palmer: Commercial Manager
Ben worked in banking for over twenty years,including;managing:Commercial Banking Centre in the north-west. Subsequently, he was employed by a local Chamber of Commerce, where he was seconded to an economic regeneration programme as a Business Adviser. He has experience of finance,  project management and government funding schemes.

 

Picture of Peter CuddPeter Cudd: Senior Research Associate
Peter has over 20 years of research experience in areas spanning engineering and health related care. He was co-ordinator on two European AT projects and has worked on another two. He is the current UK national contact for AAATE.

Steven has 8 years research and development experience in a variety of fields, including bioengineering, health technology evaluation, and user requirements. He has been involved in Telecare research for nearly 3 years, as part of 2 NRF & HTD projects
